Not an expert on this period but I believe the motor is an Atlas made in 1966. I think the P may stand for Plumstead
But the frame 122 looks like it is from a 500. A Dommie 88. Is it a wideline or slim line ? An Atlas would have a slimline frame.
The frame number looks a bit short too.

Does the engine have a magneto or points and coil
From 1967 forward the Atlas had coil ignition, thus
if your motor has one you know it is a 67-68 model.

The numbers have the correct format all right. Frame is a late 1967 slimline (probably made during 2nd quarter 1967) while the engine is from another bike made during the 1965 model year, i.e. 9/64 to 8/65, i.e., both bikes were built at the Matchless Factory in Plumstead, London.
Sorry, can't help with transmission code but you may get an accurate dating by paying a fee to the AJS/M Owners Club (a dating service may be available from the Norton Owners Club also).
