#2. "RE: battery cover blues"

Same problem when you go to a K & N with Amals on a 75.
I fashioned my own out of plumbers tape, (perforated strapping material)some foam and a couple of stove bolts with wing nuts.
I wrapped the taped around the frame tube shielded with foam, pinched it with a bolt and nut, extended it over to the cover and attached the bolt and nut. The wing nut for ease of use.
www.RockPointCycle.com has a 'P' clamp that does this very same thing and looks nicer.
www.Oldbritts.com has a very nice fabricated piece also.
I had my 75 for years and now have some earlier Nortons with the dzus fitting. I prefer the convenience of the 75 with not having to fittle around under the tank.
