I finnaly found the list again and as a first post I can ask my 1st question!!
I have a Godet Egli Vincent (NO I am not happy at all with it!!!) and I was wondering after the 2nd Alton alternator died, if ANYONE has been lucky with these French systems?? I kind of gave up on mine and ordered a Kubota...
The fact that the builder (Mr Hamon) does not answer emails or do not send back my alternator does not help either. Gosh being French and living in California I cannot stand the French attitude anymore!
Thanks for your answers.

I have a couple of Vincent twins. One has an Alton the other has a Chinamo. Both have Podtronics regulators.
The Alton is one of the new high output single phase. I have several problems with the 3-phase Altons and they replaced it with the new single phase unit.
The Chinamo is a lot older than the Alton. It is a Chinese copy of a small Bosch dynamo, hence the name. These were available until the automobile company in China that was using them converted to using an alternator. They are not being made anymore.
I use Podtronics regulators on all my British bikes, both dyno and alternator equipped ones. They are made here in the US but I think a couple of British suppliers sell them.
