I'm trying to remove the front engine sprocket on my 65 atlas. I have tried heat (propane torch) and a puller (even though the puller was a little wimpy). Tomorrow will get a better puller but I thought I'd see if anyone has any suggestions, the SOB sure seems tight! Is a propance torch hot enough or should I try oxy-acetylene?

I used a beefy 3 jaw puller.
However, I had to make custom jaws/legs to fit inside the restricted access caused by the alternator housing..
Finally, I had to use a lot of heat to get it to come off.
I have oxy-acetolene, but it was only "smokin", not red.
IIRC it virtually "exploded" off. IT was definitely tight....
