I recently stripped down a 1970 750 and rebuilt from the isolastics up. I had the cylinders bored out 20 thou. over but I can't stop it from burning oil. Do I get the cylinders cross-hatched or something else? Any ideas would be welcome.

I would think a cylinder rebore to reasonable clearance would not use much oil.
However a valve job done by a "regular" machine shop will often make the stem to guide much sloppier than I do, and on paper may be worn out and over size for a commando. I've seen it and heard of it often enough to know it is a problem.
