All the oil in the head drains back to the crankcase via the push rod tubes and then through the tappet blocks. Two small holes in each tappet block. I don't recall the 650 having any more drains than that but double check.
Check oil line routing (ALL), crankcase and oil tank vent, engine oil overfill (check after road ridden half mile or more).
After parking for a few minutes, even if you have too much oil in the head, the oil should drain down. After running/riding put it on the side stand, pull both of the left side rocker covers. If oil pours out of one of them, thats the side thats not drainging down (intake or exhaust).
