Hi,
I just restored a 1955 Model 99 and I've restored a 1950 Plunger Frame Model 7. I would venture to guess a 600 cc 99 engine will not fit because the stroke is greater and would place the cylinder head up to high. The 500 cc in the plunger was a very tight fit in the first place and I don't think you could get the cylinder barrel and head on a 99 to clear the top rail. I think the cases are the same but the cylinder barrel and head is taller. 600 is a 500 bored and stroked. You might be able to lower the case in some new framing plates but as I recall the drain plug is flush with the bottom tubes on the plunger and any lower you might be dragging the ground.
