Hi; I'm refurbishing an ES2 1949 and have deep doubts about which is the correct art for the TOP of the petrol tank.
Is it a design similar to the side of the tank, where the logo is? Or is it a "drop" shaped design?
By what I may see at Roy Bacon's book, at the Norton Singles part list, at an advertisement of 1948 and at some other few sources, it is similar to a "drop" shape.
However, many enthusiasts hereby do not accept it, saying that the correct art would be the design used at the side of the tank.
By the way: the petrol tank is chromed.
Please, can somebody help me???? ;(
Some pictures would be fantastic to convince some stubborn people I know…
Thanks in advance!!!
