Hi All--
First, I did perform a couple of searches on this forum, but didn't find an answer to my question--I apologize in advance if I missed it.
I've been preparing to teach Che Guevara's _Motorcycle Diaries__ (the book, not the movie) next semester, and I'm curious about the fate of the actual 1939 Norton that he and Alberto Granado rode across Argentina and into Chile during the first part of their travel together.
In their diaries, both Che and Granado say simply that they sold the bike when it broke down for the last time in Chile. A friend on another motorcycle forum where I regularly post claims that the bike is still extant, and posted a picture of it taken from a blog (I've attached the picture)--the original context is here (scroll down):

But I'm thinking this is simply the bike used in the movie, not the actual bike they rode.
Any information much appreciated!
P.S. I'm always on the lookout for a British bike fixer-upper :) Attachment
