Hi I read the article by norbsa concerning a $55 kit that eliminates front fork clang on commandos. does anyone have contact address / phone number / email address?? I'd like to get more info about this style upgrade. I get the impression that the coventry upgrade is no longer available. If I understand correctly thecoventry set up does not use longer than stock damper rods- which set up is best? Thanks for any advice etc that anyone cane give me. flying ace

Greg can be contacted here
Not coventry but:
Covenant Conversion such as:
4 church road
NO LONGER OFFERING THE KIT
1. The covenant conversion "I interpret" to move the BOTTOM hydraulic bump stop hole to above the damper taper apex where it actually does something!!!!
See the pix here if you want this to make any sense...
2. Gregs kit does add length to the rod. A longer rod allows the forks TOP hydraulic bump stop to function before the rod mechanically limits travel with a clunk....or the covenant conversion collar lowered the height at which the TOP hydraulic bump stop functioned.
each way has a potential down side.
3. Having a non worn-out upper damper cap allows the damper/shock to perform it's job, hopefully before the clunk happens.
This is my prefered method....renew the damper cap and rod if it/they are worn/rusted.
